Allied Building Corporation was selected by Liberty Property Trust to design/build a major distribution center complex for Uline Shipping Supply Specialists, the leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials to businesses throughout North America. The complex is comprised of a 1,000,000 SF warehouse, a 75,000 SF, two-story office building and another 600,000 SF warehouse with provisions to expand to 1,100,000 SF, all located on a 200 acre site designed to accommodate future expansion.

Constructed of pre-cast insulated concrete panels, the interior clear height of each building is 32’. Overall, there are 258 loading docks, levelers and doors. There are 692 parking spaces for cars and 345 additional spaces for trailers. The warehouses include over 1,100 skylights throughout each building. The project also included significant roadway improvements along Mill Creek Road and Rt. 222.

The two-story office building was erected using structural steel slab on grade. The exterior façade is precast concrete panels, an aluminum and glass window system and a standing seam mansard roof detail adjoining EPDM membrane over a flat roof. There is an attractive main entrance canopy leading to a lobby with elevator access. Functions for the building are reception, sales, order entry, billing, general administration and executive offices. Also included are a fitness center and cafeteria.
