This 8,850 SF project involved the complete demolition of an existing office suite. Given Liberty Property Trust’s commitment to green building, they wanted their office to achieve LEED Gold certification for commercial interiors. The project included numerous green building techniques such as cutting back water usage by over 30%, reducing lighting density loads, utilizing Energy Star compliant equipment, reusing existing building and material components, diverting over 80% of construction debris from the landfill and recycling the waste, and incorporating regional materials and certified FSC wood products. Air quality measures were enacted which consisted of using low/no VOC paints, flooring and construction adhesives, increasing outside air ventilation, and implementing IAQ management and thermal comfort controllability systems. The project, which was fast-tracked to completion within two months, features a number of high-end specialties including a state-of-the-art conference room.
